About the speaker:
LCDR T. Brian Marcoux grew up in Woodbine, Maryland and earned his B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland Honors College as a student athlete for the ACC Champion Terrapins Division-I wrestling team. He attended Western University College of Osteopathic
Medicine of the Pacific on a Health Professions Scholarship and assumed active duty as a naval officer upon graduation in 2016. He completed psychiatry residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego as Chief Resident, followed by a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship with the John Hopkins Hospital as Chief Kanner Fellow. He is dual board certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and continues to serve in the US Navy at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
From 2022-2024, LCDR Marcoux was stationed at Naval Hospital Guam as the sole practicing pediatric
psychiatrist in the region. Since 2024 LCDR Marcoux returned to San Diego after selection as an
Associate Program Director for his alma mater residency program. He oversees the military curriculum
for 32 residents and offers didactics and clinical supervision, while also managing the NMRTC San
Diego Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health clinic.
LCDR Marcoux has lectured and presented posters at national conferences, and successfully published a solo-authored 2021 review article on trauma-informed care in the peer-reviewed Journal of Osteopathic Medicine. He is married to a clinical psychologist and together they adore their rescue dog Bolt and playing their favorite tabletop game Wingspan. By the start of this conference, they will be new parents if his appearance is not evidence enough.
